FOUR BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL KIDS BRANDS
Don't quote me on this, but I basically had kids so I could dress them in cool, tiny person clothes. I used to work as a fashion assistant for a family magazine before I had kids and OH. THE. CLOTHES!
Of course, in reality my kids do tend to lean towards the hideous, stained items I inherited from a friend's neighbour but STILL I do my bit to support independent brands as best I can. These four brands are giving me all the summer feels.
From left to right.
1) MABLI. Can’t even cope with the epicness of these knitted beauties. MABLI is a family-run brand based in Wales, specialising in natural knitwear for children, as well as an ever-growing offering for adults too.
Their approach is slow fashion, with an eclectic and vintage inspired aesthetic.
Featured shorts / tops from £39.50 + below right, trousers/top from £46
2) ALPHABET BAGS. As well as a range of very cool bags, Alphabet Bags now do some great t-shirts. I blame Peppa Pig for my children’s obsession with jumping in puddles, but still, Alba would love this one!
T-shirt, £18
3) ALMA BRASIL. Beautiful, beautiful clothes without the hefty luxe price tag.
Run by Talitha, a Brazilian, a biologist and mother of two. Started up in a studio in Ipanema, in Rio de Janeiro, and now London-based.
Alma is the Portuguese word for soul. With this in mind, Talitha hand-picks and import to the UK the clothes and products that she feels represent the warm soul of Brazil.
Magical cirque jumpsuit, £44
4) KURMA (Below left) Beautiful trousers handmade in batches, with fabric sourced from India. DM to order at @thekurmacollective
Windowpane check organic trousers, £28
